Humana Dental offers commercial dental products and dental benefits embedded in Medicare Advantage plans. Humana reported a network of more than 135,000 unique dentists in 2024.1 Providers should distinguish the member’s specific commercial or Medicare Advantage product because participation, fees, and authorization rules can differ. Payer portals, forms, IDs, and procedures change frequently. Timely-filing limits and other participation terms come from the applicable current payer materials and your executed agreement. Use this page as a starting point, then verify the product, entity, provider, location, and effective date with the payer.

The MA dimension

For Humana Medicare Advantage dental products:
  • Fee schedules and preauthorization rules follow the plan, not traditional Medicare. Verify per plan, not per carrier.
  • Benefit design varies by MA plan and by year; annual maximums and covered-service lists move at each plan year.
  • Recheck the member’s current plan and benefits after annual enrollment changes.
See Medicare Advantage dental for how MA supplemental dental works generally.

Operational notes

  • Commercial and MA dental products can have different fee schedules and rules under the same brand. Confirm the member’s product before quoting benefits.
  • Network-size figures are company-reported and should not be treated as audited market data.
